I’m just a landlord, so this isn’t legal advice. I’d see how much money she wants. If not much, I’d pay her perhaps. Or I’d simply say that my lawyer advised me that I cannot pay these types of claims. Then I’d get rid of her if the agreement allowed me to.
After that I’d search my soul to see how I made such a stupid mistake to rent to a bloodsucker like that and vow to make changes so I never do it again.
A friend called and said he rented to a girl that called to have pilot lite. He called her back several times and could not get her. She said she tried to light pilot and she held gas switch down to long and it flamed back on her she went to the ER. She has bills and wants him to pay. She did not let him know this until 1st of month when rent was do. What should he do and how can he get the tenant out so she does not do anything else careless?
