Check your state laws to see if your state gives buyers a 3 day right to recission on time share purchases. Your answer should be there.

HELP! NEED ADVICE!!! - Posted by genny - Texas

I sold a timeshare to a lady. We both signed the contract and she wrote a check to pay in full. On the same day I sent paperwork to the resort for them to complete the transfer.

Price was negotiated and contract was fully executed and sales price was paid in full.

The next day, the lady called and said someone was going to GIVE her a timeshare at the same resort for FREE and she wants her money back.

Do I have to give her her money back and cancel the deal or should I proceed with the transfer?

The resort will generate the new deed and have it recorded after the buyer completes new member docs from the resort. If the buyer does not complete the docs and send them to the resort - the transfer process will stop.

I did what I was supposed to do to complete the deal. What now?
