In a bulletin I received from NoteWorthy, the website www.assetportfolios.com was being advertised. In looking over this site, I see that there is a section for real estate and notes to be auctioned.
Has anyone used an auction site to sell SFRs? My concern would be in listing a house on this site while marketing it locally through conventional means. The auction rules state that you WILL sell the house to the highest bidder. But, this seems problematic, in that you could find a buyer locally after the online auction had already started. Could you sell to the local buyer? I see no ability to cancel an auction.
Any comments are welcome. By the way, there’s a Florida rental on there, with no bids so far, if anyone’s interested.
