I’ve seen all those postings but they are not posted until they are also available in the computer system. If you look at the postings they are usually 3-6 days old. If someone records on the 5th of this month, I wouldn’t be able to access that in the system or posted on the board until about the 9th. I want to get it on the 5th or 6th.
I’ve been down to the clerk’s office many times over the last month to research preforeclosures. I have also searched online using their web page. It appears that their computer system used for posting in their office and on the web is anywhere from 3-6 days behind the actual recording date. I realize that most notices of sale will be recorded on the 21 and 22 day before the sale, but how can I access the earlier filings when they are recorded as opposed to waiting for them to post 3-6 days later. No one at the clerks office could give me a good answer. There must be a list of all documents previously recorded during that time window, otherwise, how can title companies insure title when they don’t know if someone conveyed the property in the last 3-6 days? I called a local company that generates a list and was told that they update the list when a notice is posted. Again that seems to be a little late. I’m looking for some feedback. Can I get that info earlier? The list seems very thorough considering the time it would take me to wade through the postings that are done at the last minute. But I would like to get the earlier filings as quickly as possible? Any suggestions?

Evan, I suggest you go over to the lobby of the Family Court House where all the foreclosures must be posted.
The postings start on the board there only a few days after the previous auction. That is a few days after the first tuesday of the month. TKP, Houston
