Group Therapy: Five Moms and a Psychiatrist
A psychiatrist was conducting a group therapy session with five young mothers and their small children.
“You all have obsessions,” the psychiatrist declared.
To the first mother, he said: “You are obsessed with eating. That is why you named your daughter Candy.”
And to the second Mom he said: “As for you, you are obssessed with money. This is why you’ve named your child Penny.”
And to the third Mom he said: “Lady, your own obsession is alcohol. This too manifests itself in your child’s name, Brandy.”
Then turning to the fourth Mom the psychiatrist said: Lady you are obssessed with Creative Real Estate Investment. Why on earth would you name your son “subject to”. “Subject to” is not a normal name for a child. Have you ever seen other children by that name? The lady bowed her head in silence.
At this point, the fifth mother gets up, takes her little boy by the hand and whispers, “Come on, Dick, we’re leaving”. “Why are we leaving, mom”, the confused little boy asked…He never got the answer to his question.
