Go to the local Code Office and ask.
As long as I make no structural changes or electrical breaker box changes I don’t need a permit. Fixing sheetrock, doors, windows, flooring, sinks are normal wear and tear items not requiring a permit.

What is the best way to make sure that you have done everything legally correct (pulling the right permits) before you start your rehab project? I want to make sure to avoid the hassles of having not done something in the correct order, and then having to waste time going back to fix something that wasn’t done because of inexperience, not neglect.
