Correct. Everytime a property changes hands a new deed must be created/written-up. It is a good idea to get the previous deed for informational purposes but essentially once they sign a deed and “deed it to you” then you own the property.
ok, when you guys say getting the deed what exactly do you mean? do you mean having them sign a quit claim deed or a warranty deed? your not talking about the actual property deed are you, because as i look at my own 2 deeds i can’t see a place where one can sign to handover.
