I have a house where the walkway along the side of my house is a little too narrow. I talked to the neighbor and he agreed to give me a 3 feet easement in exchange for a couple of thousand of dollars. I’m happy to pay this but how do I go about getting this easement in place? Who should I talk to to make this happen? How can I also make it so that this easement is forever and cannot be revoked by the neighbor or future owners of the neighbor’s property?
