FREE Comps? Is there such a THING? - Posted by Pam

Is there REALLY any websites that you can actually get FREE comps? Last spring I got one from ‘housevalues.com’. Now that same website says there is an error and check back. yeah, right…I emailed them complaining about their error…I think it’s by design. Anyway, I would appreciate any leads on some of these free sites for values. Thanks in advance.

Check with your county property tax dept. Many counties have records online that are in one way or another searchable.

Here are two more sites. Please note that both are “powered” by the same source.
http://www.bankofamerica.com/loansandhomes/index.cfm?template=hc_home_worth
The BoA site will give you a high to low range, very basic info on the house, and show 3 comps.
http://homesales.basis100.com/home_sales_report/?
The second one is courtesy of Wells Fargo It gives you options to define the distance from the target property and a 6-24 month time frame. It will show many comps, but not all of the ones it pulls.
