May I suggest you get a copy of the Daily Journal of Commerce This is only for those that live in Puget Sound region. Most areas of the United States have local legal news papers. Our paper is called the Daily Journal of commerice, and in your area it would be named something else.

You can buy one at a newsstand or book store that would sell the Wall Street Journal. I think I bought a copy at my local Barns & Nobles. Look in the back pages under foreclosure filing. Each foreclosure is filed by an atty for the Mortgage company. National Mortgage companies use local atty. firms for foreclosures. Call the phone number listed and they can tell you all the info for your county including if there is a percent amount up front and the rest in so many days. We had funds already lined up so we just paid the full amount right then.

You might want to take in an auction at the court house to get the feel for one before your property comes up for auction.

Taking this from memory— King county auctions are each Friday on the courthouse steps or the landing just before you open the swinging doors. You will know your at the right spot if you see several people with legal folders in their hands and others in small groups waiting for the auction to start. If I remember correctly most start at 10:00
However if I am not right on the time–all auctions are listed by time and date in the foreclosure legal notices in the Daily Journal of Commerice

The very best of investing to you

Deposits for 100% of the purchase price are required to be paid
by the successful bidder at the close of bidding ;-).

In other words, you pay by certified check the full amount of the
winning bit immediately after the sale concludes.
