Have you tried pulling the info at your county recorder’s office. Or calling a local title company??

There is a house that I’m interested in buying. It is in Foreclosure, the NOD was recorded on 1-7-08. According to the NOD, “no sale date may be set until 3 months from the date this NOD was recorded.” Which brings me to 4-7-08.

My question is, how do I find out when and where the auction for this house is going to held? If I missed it in the newspaper, where else should I look?

A notice of trustee sale will need to be recorded and a sale cannot be held for 21 days after that, so just wait until the NOD period is up and then check the NTS notices at the recorders office if you don’t see it advertised. Also you can check the NOD way before that and find out the trustee handling the sale and call direct. Many will be cured or sold before a trustee sale is due to be scheduled. Generally you will want to buy before the foreclosure actually happens anyway for the best price.
