Greg,
Houses can be sold at auction with liens still attached.
Also, I am not very fond of condos here in MI. They can be hard to move and make money on.
Regards,
Adam

I am considering buying a condo at auction. My question is are all liens removed when a house is sold at a foreclosure auction and is there anyway a lien can be placed back on a property after it has been sold at auction.

thanks in advance for any help
Greg

I believe any mortgage liens would fall off, but not necessary others like IRS liens. I agree with Adam, depending on where you’re at in Michigan a condo at auction is probably not the best use of your funds. You have to have all your cash at the auction, you haven’t been inside to check the condition (unless you somehow got in), and condos are a dime a dozen. You could probably get a better deal by learning how to buy from this site and then go find a motivated seller. Good luck.
