Hi Chris,
Great Ideas. If you ever get time, look at that Talahassi site. If we could just get every county to match that one, we’d be over. I’m usually at the tax collector’s office weekly. Ditto for the clerk. So I’ll run your “dial up” access idea by both of them.

I just finished reading the post made by Dave in answer to COOK COUNTY ILL., FORECLOSURES. He suggested that the individual check the www.public-record.com web site. This particular site covers several counties in or around Chicago, Il.
I’m curious, does anyone know of a similar website for any cities in the state of Florida? Sorry to be so partial to Florida, but you know how it is.

Hi Chris,
I live in Ft Walton Beach, County of Okaloosa. Not exactly Miami but it has its good points. Do you know of any suitable websites for Okaloosa? One of the responses indicated there might be.
Jeff, I don’t know of any internet access to records in your area. What you might try, though, is asking the people in the appraisers office if they have dial-up access to the records. I used this in Marion county for about 6 months before they got on the internet. Also check with your clerk of the court. I got set up with dial-up access to the public records database in Marion county too, just by asking for it.

Hi A.T.,
Just finished checking out the Jacksonville county website. It has exactly what I’m looking for (appraised values, sale prices, tax rolls, owners, etc.) Now if I could just find the one for Okaloosa. If I come up with it, I’ll post it for any other panhandle investors out there in cyberspace who might want to use it.
