I have posted some pictures of samples I received of the Flexitec-brand floor covering I have been talking about recently.

This is a sheet product, padded and installed as a floating floor - sales rep tells me that double sticky-back tape may be applied diagonally at corners and doors, if desired - I probably will at the doors.

This is cheaper than any other flooring product - even sticky tiles, and is highly durable due to fiberglass layering in the sheet. It will not crease or roll up, and is easy to repair damaged spots - cut at the pattern lines, remove, and double-stickyback a new piece in.

Cost is low, and time to install should be very low - thus good quality at minimal cost = more profit for me.

pics are here:

I have two rolls sitting in a warehouse - will pickup tomorrow, and should be using the stuff within a couple of weeks.

Will post results, and pictures.

One thing I was going to add is that although it is very resistant, looks great, if your tenants will push/pull appliances, furniture or heavy objects on it, it will crease and even break. It is easy to repair and replace, so keep some on hand, and that is the good thing. I guess, the less complicated pattern you choose the easier will be to fix if needed.
If you guys can see the little 13 minute movie I posted a link to(http://vinylflooring.org/movie.html) in the above reply, that would also give you some good ideas.

I had this stuff installed right over some bad vinyl in a stick-built I recently finished renovating for a rental. I was very impressed with the apparent durability, padding, and high-quality printing of the design. I think the one I used is the thicker grade Steve is showing. I’m sold on it, and it looks incredible in the house.

Good stuff, I like it. I would also suggest applying the double sided sticky tape on this thing, around AC vents. It will prevent air to get under it and lift it when the AC comes on.

Hey Steve, thanks for the information on the flooring. Do you know the website address for this product. This looks like the flooring I had in my last property(stick built home). The flooring was around 15 years old(per homeowner), but looked new and it was very comfortable to walk on. If it the same stuff or even similar, I will definitely use it. I didn’t realize it was inexpensive, I thought just the opposite. Thanks again for sharing.

Check this out. They even have a little “how to install movie” on this type of floor. There are some phone numbers too. They will also send you free samples, and I think you can request them online online.
