I have seen it on Discovery also. I think his plan has some merit but the 10 Billion to build is an pretty tall order.

Anyone familiar with the Freedom Ship? – a proposed floating city that will circle around the world?
I used to be pretty interested in it but it seems as though the developer is not for real. The idea has been on the Discovery channel a lot as well as many other articles. The web site (www.freedomship.com) tells the story. No progress in the last five years. Seems to be a problem with coming up with the $10 billion to build it.
But, if anyone is interested, you can still sign up for a condo. Is this floating city something we will eventually see? Would it be a worthwhile investment if it were ever built ??
