I have questions for anyone who has dealt with fire-damaged properties. The house in question needs a new roof and kitchen because the fire was in this part of the house. There are 3 bathrooms that need to be gutted and need to be fixed. Also the flooring and some sub flooring needs to be replaced for the house has been sitting for four years with rain coming through the hole in the roof. The walls have soot and the house smells like fire. The bank wants $64,000 for the property, but it has a value of about $170,000 to $190,000. Land value is $35,000 to $40,000. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
