If you are just looking for the owners name by address check the property tax records. We have ours on line where I live. Maybe your county has the same?

Why not send a postcard to the house(s) marked with “Return Service Requested” as well as “Do Not Forward”
That should get you any forwarding addresses sent back to you (if you return addressed it that is)

Good place to start, but those that are online have varying degress of onlinedness. Los Angeles has just recently gone on line (yeah!), but hasn’t incporproated owner names (boo!). Maybe they will incorporate it over time though.

All those sites charge a fee, this site that was listed was free. I did try an archive search before asking the question, but apparently I was unable to come up with the correct keywords. I was hoping to jog someone’s memory and they would then be able to post it again. Thanks for the help.

It’s not very good, but searchbug. com has a reverse address function.
