Mary- I have found that a subscription to (or you can sign up for a 2 day free trial) to parcelquest has been very helpfull finding this information. all you need is the APN number or the street address. check it out.
Also- if you search the archives here on CRE and type “finding owners of abandon property” you will find an amazing amount of material right here. I know that Ron Star has posted a significant amount regarding this subject.

Hello,

I am new to this, and still trying to figure out what the heck I am supposed to be doing.

I will start here, first. What steps do I need to find the owner of an abandoned property?

Is it the same as finding out how much someone paid for their house?

What if one of the properties is a house that was turned into a restaurant? It has been abandoned for a year.

Same process?
