My friend is looking to buy a house and I have located a property for her. The home is not yet listed with a real estate agent and the owner is anxious to sell fsbo if possible. Neither my friend nor the seller have signed any binding contracts with a real estate agent. Would I be able to charge a finders fee as an unlicensed person? I reside in Virginia and don’t know if this is against state real estate law.
