I belong to a credit agency that lets me pull credit reports on potential renters (with their written permission). They strip the FICO scoring TRW puts on this because I am not a financial institution.

For pre-approving a potential house buyer candidate, it would be handy to know this score to know how the banks will view them. Does anyone know of an approx measure to calc this off the credit report?

I use Northland Services, www.northland-services.com, and they provide a scored FICO report regardless of what I am doing with it.

I think you need to look for a different credit reporting company. I get FICOs on my reports, because I am extending credit. Doesn’t matter if I’m an “institution” or not. I use the following company for tenant screening and credit reports:
