during a redemption period in Texas.... - Posted by rgkeeney

I have a question that I am hoping you can help me with. I
lost my home for back taxes (was frauded and have a case
against heirs on this house). It is a very complex situation
that because of space and time I will not go into.
My question is this: I want to sell the property and thereby
redeem the back taxes as well. Is this do-able? I have 4
months left for the redemption period and have to iron out a
few details first (title issues).
Please help!
Thank you,
rgkeeney

Have not done tax deed in TX in LONG time…but…it is my understanding that if you are STILL in the redemption period…all you have to do is step up and pay the back taxes and costs and the property reverts to you.

The person who got it at the tax sale took title “Subject to” and you have the right to redeem during the redemption period of 6 months or 2 years for homestead property.

Contat the attorneys who prepared the title work for the sale and tell them you want it back.

Should be no problmes…come us with the $$$$ and get it back.

Good Luck,

You’ve just poured battery acid all over yourself and no intelligent or
experienced REI is going to get near doing any business w you for
fear it’ll splash on him.

What do I mean?

Well think about this…would YOU now trust a guy who’s fooled
around for almost 2 years after his RE was taken by the tax people
AND is suing somebody else for fraud?

Not me.

If I were you I"d move on before the sheriff knocks on the door.

your comments are very assuming and I suppose based on
a lack of information. I was a victim of fraud and
only had a 6 month redemption period. I thought there
might be some help on this forum, but, thanks anyway.
