I would call several surveyors and get itimized bids on the fee. Also almost everything is negotiable.

And is this required to sell via FHA? A surveyor told me this was required, but that putting out stakes was separate and the each cost $300 for a total of $600. Is this competitive or high?

In GA I pay $300 for a survey and setting stakes/pins is free.
