What about the course itself? Are there any examples in the archives of people who have been successful with the program?

Over the last 10 years I have ordered the course twice. The first time I ordered it in 1995, I read through the course but still had a lot of questions on all the details of how to start and what to say. They had one number to reach someone to help you and I only got one call back from someone and it didn’t help. So, I got fed up and got rid of the package.
2 years ago I got the package again and now they had some resources to go to like Real Estate Online for help. I contacted a real estate investors club (per the course) and I got a hold of a club that just required you to put in $5000 and they would find properties all over the U.S. and give you a 60% return. Well, I didn’t have $5000, but I was considering saving it for that. Well, a year later with the money, I couldn’t get a hold of the rep for that company and I sold the course.
Now, I saw it again in November 2003 and I wanted to do it but I wanted real help/tuturing/coaching because I am new to REI. I recommend only getting this program if you have enough to get the coaching program. That way you have someone helping you all the time during every step of the way. This is the only way I have been able to get a clear understanding of how to do this and it has allowed me to stick with the program. Now this cost me $4300 for a year. I have been making offers and have found some people open to no money down deals. I live in San Francisco.

Butch,
If you want to get really serious about REI and have the $3K, go to a Robert Allen Institute Creating Wealth with Real Estate 3 Day Seminar. It comes with all the coaching you’ll ever need for an unlimited time after you attend. It’s current ready to use material that will quickly and flawlessly propell you to becoming a multi-millionaire investor.

While the coaching program may be “for the birds”, I don’t know for sure, I didn’t sign up for it, and have no intention of doing so, because I don’t feel you need to. I know for certain that the CS program works very very well - and is doing so for numerous people all across the country, who I am betting some do and some don’t use the coaching program. The reason I say all that is because I have personal friends, right her in OKC who use his techniques, have been on his infomercial, and did “not” go through the coaching program.
Have a great day…
Brad…

Butch, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you should read the post in the archives written by a former Carleton Sheets coach. The address is:
http://www.creonline.com/wwwboard2/messages/28169.html
hope this helps you with your future decisions. Just remember, always ask if your coach made his money in real estate, then why is he getting paid $12 per hour to tell you how to make a million?
Good luck and good investing,
JeWood

It has nothing to do with the course being bad. You just did’nt work hard enough is what it seems like. You bought the course 10 years ago and your just now making offers. I’d say that was your problem

If you look in the archives, you will see most people who bought the coaching program had negative experiences. $$$ can be better spent elsewhere.
What’s good about Robert Allen? - Posted by Les

Is the manual from the 3-day seminar really that good? Are you assigned one coach to work with you, or do you get anyone available when you call? Do you think they really know what they’re doing, and are they informed as to different states’ requirements, like those of a mortgage state? Please reply asap as I am considering their seminar for this weekend, 1st one in March. Many thanks!
