in my state inheritence without a will has to go through probate and follows a strict line of inheritence. first survivening spouse, then children then grand children then parents then syblings and so on. you need to check your state laws to see who will inherit. i think if your mom is the only child then she would inherit. as for probate all bills would have to be paid first and the MH might have to be sold to cover outstanding debt. You can try to get yourself appointed as executor or personal representative of the estate but you really need the advice of a lawyer if your going to do that. hope this helps. my grand father died 2 years ago and he had a lot with a mobil home on it. he had no will made there is no morgage on it how can i get contro and in my name.there is no family members in volved in this issue just me i talked to my mom she says she has the title to MH somewhere she will try to find it for me what do you think about my mom sighning my grand fathers signiture to it so i could get MH put in my name?i called tax office to find out how much taxes were its behind 343.83 for 2004 and 2005 489.74 due april 11 my mom or i have not heard anything from probate court.would probate court take or seze property because he was on socil security or anything like that.im wondering how to get property in my name.do i contact probate court what are all there options to do with it.and if i took someons advice went over there cleaned up the property paid the taxes dose it take the 10 years to aquire the property threw "Adverse Possession would i still be takeing a chance with probate court takeing possion of it during that time and would there be a problem renting it out leagly.if i go this rout do i not contact probate court and tip them off or not un sure questions and delimas.do you have any advice or answers for me, by the way im in calif. hey thanks for trying to help me any body.
