Sometimes that happens. I would suggest you call your mortgage company back, but not using the phone number they just gave you, just in case it is someone trying to pull a scam on you.
In any event, dig out your copy of the Deed of Trust you received at closing and make sure that the one they have you sign matches your copy with no changes.

I refinanced my mortgage about 1.5 years ago. Today I got a call from the mortgage company that their quality department discovered that they did not receive the original signed copy of the Deed of Trust. They wanted to send out a notary to have a new copy signed. This sounds fishy to me. What should I do?
