I was watching David Letterman and Tom Hanks was on, and he told a story of having to pay a ticket. He made a comment that the computers were sold old at the department he went to that the keys had no letters on them. This had me take a look down at my keyboard as I know I have a couple, few, ok; lots missing.

FYI, the most common letters used in typing on a keyboard are:

E, I, O, A, S, D, F, G, K, L, C, V, B, N, & M

How do I know that? Because on my keyboard, these keys have no letters on them.

WOW! I just noticed by counting the above, that my keyboard has OVER HALF the keys of the alphabet gone from view. Luckily I type without looking at a keyboard.

And I didn’t even count the space bar as my space bar never had wording on it to begin with.

a keyboard can be had for about $10.

and it is a business deduction.

and it’s the end of the year.

What’s that squeal? Oh, it’s Lincoln. Let go of the penny, Tim.

Merry Christmas.

I think you’re missing some commas in your post there. I found it very hard to read.

I can only think of one time where I have replaced a keyboard in 20 years, and that was because the keys were sticking and it wouldn’t work. My keyboard may have the faces rubbed off from use, but it feels comfortable where the keyboard sits and I know blindly where the keys are. I think new keyboards might try to get ergonomic on me.

You are right though, they are cheap and I should get one; but for some reason this keyboard feels comfortable, still works even with out letters inscribed on the keys any longer. I think I might hint to the wife of what to get me for a stocking stuffer.

Gee Tim, your stockings are big enough to stuff a keyboard into? That must mean you have enormous feet…and we all know what that means! Your wife must be very happy.
