Bryan,

Never heard of Todd Beitler. But if you want to know the ins and outs of foreclosures, you might consider getting “Totally Dominate Your Foreclosure Marketplace” by Joe Kaiser, available from this site. You will learn how to recognize foreclosures in the early stages . . . before the the information is released to the general public. If you’re looking for a “head start”, this is the way.

Hi,

Has anyone used the course/books by Todd Beitler? I am just getting in to REI. I am not sure how good the foreclosure market is in my area and am wondering about more traditional methods of obtaining income properties.

Any thoughts/recommendations?

Thanks - Bryan

Hi,
Looking through the offerings on CRE online, the ‘deal’ for Wright Thurston’s stuff looks like a lot, is it worth it? I’m beginning to think that any of the stuff on creonline is going to be OK, but there is so much C**p out there, it’s tought to know what’s really good!

Thanks - Bryan

Bryan,

I have read Todd Beitler’s course. I found it to be quite informative on the overall foreclosure process. His course even includes the dissection of a real foreclosure. It included property pictures, completed forms, legal notices, etc. He also includes forms for analyzing properties you find. It is a great course for step-by-step guidance to the foreclosure process.

Joe Kaiser’s course is much more detailed in that his materials presume you are definitely interested in pursuing foreclosures full-time. His course provides numerous ways of getting yourself in front of the homeowner who is faced with a foreclosure. In addition, he provides techniques for getting your foot in the door with the bank/lender if they “win” the property at the auction.

Both courses are good. Both provide different perspectives on the foreclosure business. You can’t go wrong with either or both.

Bottom Line: If you want an overview of the process and steps taken in foreclosure, go with Beitler. If you want help in approaching homeowners or lenders, go with Kaiser. If you know that you want to delve into foreclosures full-time, go with both.

I hope this helps.
