I’m not sure why you decided a sarcastic response was warranted there. My original post wasn’t hostile, but curious.
I know you folks are very astute business people (witness the success of your business here) and I was surprised at the unenthusiastic response to the identification of the new location and curious why you chose an out-of-the-way place like St. Louis.
Sorry if I ticked you off. Don’t worry, though…Phil’s still comin’.
Convention 2005 - Dates and Location - Posted by J.P. Vaughan

Jeanne promised I would reveal this info in the Newsletter,
and I forgot…
The dates for the next Convention are April 8,9 and 10 and
we’ll be in St. Louis at the Renaissance Grand Hotel.
This is a beautiful historic hotel, which was recently
restored and renovated to the tune of $268 Million. It’s
on the National Register of Historic Places.
The architecture is stunning.
This is a Four-Star hotel, and the Chef has worked at many
of the best restaurants in the country. So it’s even nicer
than our previous location. Wait until you see our breakfast
room–25-foot high ceilings–it’s gorgeous.
So mark your calendar now so you can join us for the BEST
creative real estate event of the year.
DO you guys even realise there are other investors in this country than FLorida and the East Coast? I personally know 6 mobilehome investors, and a S*!T load more from the local RE clubs that would love to go.
And to the one who said it would cheaper for most to get to Atlanta, you cant be serious. St. Louis has an American Airlines hub as well as Southwest, is closer to Ohio, California, Michigan, etc where many investors are from other than those of you in the Southeast.
Props to Jeanne and those organizing this great convention. I will now be able to go due to the distance I will have to travel.
Sorry to be sounding irritated, just seems like you all need to think about other investors than your area. St.Louis is SMACK DAB in the middle of the country.
…interesting that there were so many posts speculating about where it might be, but not a single post commenting about St. Louis.
One man’s opinion…Atlanta might not be the geographic center of the country, but it sure is easier and less expensive (for many) to get to than St. Louis.
Did you decide to move to be more central, for more space, or other reasons?

We decided on this hotel in St. Louis because it is
much nicer, it can accommodate a much larger crowd, it
gives us lots of room for growth, and the food is way
better. It’a also a hub for American and Southwest, so
it’s easy to get there.
