I suggest working with an experienced CommRE attorney. Every deal is different, every deal has special needs.

Your first reaction may very well be “It’s expensive.” Yes, it is, but compared to what? If it’s a small deal, it may not matter, but for anything at all substantial, at least have a solid, experienced CommRE attorney review it before you sign.

When buying commercial real estate (as opposed to residential) what are some of the general clauses that one should be mindful of?

I am involved in a deal where we are looking to purchase a vacant office building. It is a relatively small parcel but located in a rapidily appreciating area.

If anyone would be so kind as to forward a blank copy of one of their commerical contracts to to me at geraldbuyshouses@yahoo.com I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks
