You refinance the balance owed. Don’t wait until the last minute to set up the refinancing. Start shopping for the new loan at least 6 months before the balloon comes due. Do you have a commercial loan with a balloon coming due? If so, when does the balloon come due?

I am trying to figure out how money is made on commercial property with balloon payments. What happens when the balloon comes due? How would I pay that off?
