Hello,
Here’s the short version. A developemnt group took out some huge trees I had on my property. Not just a few but probably a 1/10 acre section of mature timber. I’ll assume they didn’t know/see the property lines as well as they thought. They also have run a silt fence on my property as far in as 15-20’ in some spots. They are bringing sewer access in on their developemnt and I would like to access it and tap it. Do you think it would it be too much to ask if I approached them about me tapping without any fees , easement fees, etc ? I’m not even sure that they would charge me , but I would if it were my developement. I would be willing to let the tree destruction go, in swap for sewer access. How would you approach it ?

Hire an attorney and go at them full bore. You might even be able to get an injunction to stop all construction until your issues or resolved. You want an attorney that will act “NOW”. If you allow this encroachment and it’s known that you are aware of it, your possibilities for recovering damages lessens.
Encroachment as you describe is a complete disregard for you and your property rights. People that do these kinds of things are intimidators.
The damages you are awarded will probably make hooking up to a sewer line miniscule inlight of the violation of your property rights.
