In regards to the FCC MARS ruling in which has taken effect on 1-31-11, I’ve recently seen one individual (guru) that is stating that it’s now illegal to have ANY third party negotiator involved pertaining to short sales, loan modification assistance, etc. In perusing the FCC site it looks like that the above mentioned is NOT the case, but that it specifically states that it’s definitely illegal to collect any type of upfront fee for services. If anyone has any clarity/insight regarding this please share. Thanks!
