Hello everyone,
I have a friend of mine who called today and was asking my help in getting a package together for selling a Mobile Home Park that she has.
So of course I got on the horn with Ray Alcorn who as many know is sharp as a tack regarding Mobile Home Parks and marketing them and whatnot.
Anyhow he turned me onto a really cool website that he put together about a park that he sold.
Since he is going to be one the speakers at the Big Mobile Home Weekend coming up in NC (the others of course being Terry Vaughan, and Lonnie Scruggs), he left it up on the web to show people a neat idea when it comes to marketing a Mobile Home Park. I guess he sold in like a couple of days or something after putting it up. Goes to show the power of the web and what a little ingenuity can do.

I should have known Dirk would want to pass on anything he thought would be helpful, and I’m glad he liked the site enough enough to pass it on… if anyone would like to know more about how we used that web site to sell the park, let me know. I’ll be happy to share my experience.
The big question seems to be when and where the big Mobile Home weekend is going to be.
We (Terry Vaughan, Lonnie Scruggs and myself) have scheduled an intensive, three-day seminar on all aspects of the mobile home business, including buying, selling, financing mobile homes and a special program on Mobile Home Parks for the first weekend in October (Oct. 1-3) in Charlotte, NC. I just got off the phone with JP, and she has promised to get the details out to Insiders Club members later today. It is my understanding that Insiders Club members will have the first shot at the seats available at a discounted price, so watch your email for the announcement.
I am honored to be a part of this program with two such distinguished professionals such as Lonnie Scruggs and Terry Vaughan. I know that many of you here on CRE Online are not familiar with me, but I am very familiar with many of you. I’ve sent JP some bio information that I hope she will have a chance to make readable for everyone.
I’ve been a lurker here for a long time, and was one of the charter members of the Players Club. I met some of you at the convention in Dallas, and several more at the Lender seminar in Atlanta this past June, where I did a short presentation with Ed Garcia on due diligence. I look forward to getting to meet and know more folks that are interested in income properties of all types.
In many respects, I owe my entire career to the mobile home business. So this seminar is an opportunity for me to really return to my roots. I hope those of you interested in learning more about the many ways to make money with mobile homes and mobile home parks will join us in Charlotte.
