I can tell you - from the point of having a friend and her husband here in Oklahoma City, that the CS program does work very well indeed. Infact - my friend and her husband are also 2 people who have been interviewed in one of this television programs.
I participated in the carlton sheets coaching program with its “no money back guarantee” and I was very dissatisfied, is there any way to get my money back? I was promised that I would make a sale and get a commission within the first 60 days of the program and that was six months ago. Based on the promise made to me, I believe I should be able to get my $2900.00 back even though there was “no money back guarantee”.
because your a money hungry idiot thats how they suck you fools in. what is upis that your getting what you deserve for being so greedy even my teenager is not that stupid & lazy roflmao

I have had this program for over a year. I have tried all of the ways to purchase and aquire equity to no avail. I do not believe even Carlton can help me become financially indipendent. I feel as if i have wasted over 500 dollars on this program and would truly love to send it back. Unfortunately the trial period has ended and I Cannot send it back.
These posts are incredulous! Most are laced with tainted opinion, very little fact, and a lot of commiseration. Do the research - ask questions - I did. The coaching course guarantee is not money back - they guarantee a real estate deal if you complete assignments and submits offers. If you do your part, they keep working with you till you get your purchase. So those who had a bad experience obviously didn’t do the work or make the commitment necessary to achieve the success - and now it is someone else’s fault - typical loser’s limp. Sheets coaching provides free of charge Millionaire events for coaching students who acheive - 200 people qualified last year, another 300 are tracking this year - I’m one of them. The coaching materials are outstanding, the support is great and confidence building. Every coach on the resource line and my personal coach have their own portfolios and are current active investors - it is a requirement. Before buying the coaching program, I discovered that no one has offered such a program for a longer period of time to mor people than the Sheets people - more than 65,000 people since 1995. There are a handful of whiners on this site - fewer whiners than the number who qualify annually for the Millionaire Event. You call reading this discussion group research? It seems the successful people have better things to do than commiserate over their “misfortune” in this discussion group. I’m glad I didn’t rely on the information in this discussion forum to learn real estate investing or make a decision about the coaching program - what a mistake that would have been. Anyway - 5 months in, 6 purchases (2 duplexes, a triplex, 3 SFH) and I’m working on my first multi - a 6 unit. I paid nearly $4,000 for the course - an investment that has already repaid itself several times over.
Hi folks. I just purchased his 30 day trial package, i’m seeing mixed opinions here. Should i bail out after the 30 days, or is it worth looking into. Whats his catch anyway? Thanks

Connie,
I don’t mean to be harsh, but if you are the type of person that spends almost $3000 without fully researching what you’re getting, you are not ready for real estate investing. If you had done your homework you would have seen that everyone on this site says this is a very bad deal.
I don’t say this to be critical, but you have to do a lot of research and totally understand what you are getting before you make your first successful deal in this business. I say take your lumps and consider this a valuable lesson.

Mentoring is a big waste of money anyways. That $3,000 could have been used for closing costs or rehab mnoey on your first deal. Besides the best advice you can get is in your local REI club on on this site. Investment club dues are like $20 a month on average and the advice here is always free!! Sure as hell beats wasting several thousand dollars.
I feel your pain, sorry to hear you wasted your hard earned money on his non-sense mentoring program. I myself took his mentoring program and it was a TOTAL WASTE OF MY TIME AND MONEY. It’s hard to imagine this program hasen’t been shut down yet because of all the people they have taken advantage off. If you charged the program on your credit card, you might be able to get your credit card company to cancel the charges if you can prove to them that Carlton Sheetz didn’t deliver on his promise. Try that and see what happened. I did this succesfully in the past with another company. Good luck.
sorry to hear you took this mentoring program ,From what i have been able to find out this program is operated by the Education Institute not C,S,. if you didn,t get what they promise try getting your money back through the Institute even if you have to get a lawyer to threaten them with breach of contract for not delivering what they promise ,sooner or later someone will charge this program directors with fraud, this i strongly believe because of the amount of people getting ripped off by this program.
I imagine you are out of luck–Brenda here had a dissapointing experience, too, with the coaching program. What is there to it,anyway? What do you supposedly get for your $2,900. I guess they can’t guarantee YOUR performance–Otherwise, they would be “working for free” a lot of the time–it seems many people don’t want to do the work involved, and want to blame someone for their failure.
I feel like I have been working quite hard for about 4 months, and haven’t got my first deal done yet. I don’t think “coaching” would necessarily help. I just don’t think I’d consider ANYONE’s “coaching”–I read lots of books and posts here, and am implementing what I have been instructed to do.
I am sorry you “wasted” $2,900. At least if you had put that into a course with videos, tapes, books, etc. you would have SOMETHING. I am content with my Carleton Sheets experience, which is a total of $5.98 spent on the “Quick Start” and “No Down Payment” videos which I found at Goodwill.
I wonder how my Carleton himself has to do with all the business end. He seems like an honest, sincere person on his tapes. I like to think he doesn’t know how many of his students have been ripped off.
I hate to think that you find an education such as this to be a total loss. You are not a ‘loser’, are you? Do you know what it is to be a locator - of properties? If you would like to and would like to earn a great income that could fund your investment plans for the future, contact me for more information now.
My husband and I are interested int the Carlton Coaching program. We received a call from Adam Patterson at APatterson@legacylearn.com. This was several months after purchasing the cd’s He was selling the coaching program. He could not send me anyting in writing on the program. Do you have any information/contact for us?
I just received the CS program yesterday. To buy anything from an infommercial is totally not like me. I own my own home of which I purchased about 3 1/2 yrs ago. A 30yr real estate vet, and friend of the falmily, helped me. I still ended up paying all closing costs. The sellers wouldn’t have even considered my offer if I didn’t. We ended up beating out someone else who took a second to think about that. I’m having doubts about doing this in todays market. I don’t see how you could get the lender to pay anything other than the exact asking price, or the seller doing anything to help me out other than cashing my check in this seller’s market. By-the-way, I’m a Naval officer ready to get out, in about two years, and do something else. I know real estate is the way to go. Also, reading up on CS, I’ve discovered some very shady things about the guy and his claims to fame.

My wife gave these thieves $4000 for this coaching program. I spent two days going over the material she recieved and am appalled at what they are doing. I don’t doubt that there is money to be made investing in real estate BUT. Anyone that’s been around for awhile can smell a rat. In black and white after getting into chapter two you find out what the basic rule is. It’s called a 1-1.3 rule of investing. You will have to obtain properties that you can rent monthly for at least 1% to 1.5% the value of a property to BREAK EVEN. In our area, average rent on a 2-3 bedroom home is at $700 to $900 per month. Average cost for a starter home is now around $90,000. I did the math. I will have to get $1200-$1500 per month rent to just break even on an average home purchase in our area by their own guidlines. Their coaching philosophy attempts to place all blame on your lack of motivation to make it work. You get pages and pages of useless goal setting sheets, time management/budget sheets, and redundant calculater teaching sheets. For all of the money they charge, you should get legal forms for every kind of transaction for every kind of state. My question has always been, IF NO DOWN PAYMENT REAL ESTATE IS SUCH A GREAT WAY TO MAKE MONEY, WHY IS THIS GUY WASTING HIS TIME SELLING COURSES.

i would like to take a moment and say i know for a fact that the creative techniques carlton sheets teaches are indeed creative and he claims if you stay focused and determined you can be very succesful doing so. i am a student very active in the coaching program and have found the program to be very educational and remember he says and i quote “this is not a get rich fast” program. i feel you will get as much out of it as you put into it. i put minimum 20+ hrs per week into this program and still find time for my 60+ hr work week.don’t knock because you could’nt figure it out.
