Can’t get Insurance for Frame Row house…help! - Posted by FrustratedJim

Hello, I am having a very hard time finding an insurance company to issue me a homeowners insurance policy for a Frame Row Townhouse that I have. My insurance agent even told me that they have exhausted all their resources in trying to locate an insurance company that will write the policy. So now I am on my own. Can anyone help me? Can anyone refer me to an insurance company that can write a homeowners insurance policy for a frame row townhouse?
Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

There used to be a company called Lords of London that would insure properties that no one else would insure…for a hefty price. I cannot find them on the Internet. In Florida we have an Insurance Commissioner that sort of controls all of the insurance agencies in Florida. You probably have someone with a similar office in your state. Try to contact them. They might be able to steer you in the right direction. If you have a loan on the property, you could contact your lender. They would probably have some contacts.

I knew it was “Lloyds” and not “Lords”. I don’t know what I was thinking. Thanks, Tom.
