Heh, welcome to California where we’re all so HAPPY to be PROTECTED by the DRE that wants to prevent us from spending our money how we please and force us to only do business with those they issue licenses to.

The three FSBO entities mentioned in the article might want to pool their resources and hire an attorney.

If I was a CA resident I would be mad. I mean it sounds like all the CA DRE is trying to do is make it harder to sell a house on your own. Why don’t they just go ahead and make it illegal to sell your OWN porperty on YOUR OWN, without an agent then they would be happy !!! Good Grief.

David Krulac–¶-----------

Thanks for the reference, I read the story.

[---sarcasm alert-----*] I, as a CA consumer, am so relieved that the CA Department of Real Estate is going to protect me from those online for sale by owner listings services. Now I can relax and sleep better at night.

What dunderheads. I’d say they are equivalent to the classified newspapers with no stories such as the “Classified Flea Market” here in Oakland. They publish advertising for real estate for rent and sale, some of which is from FSBOs, some from agents.

I’m starting a little contest here.
