To notify escrow, you’d just give them a copy of the signed assignment from you to the trust. They’d simply use the trust’s name, or trustee’s name when they draft the deed and other docs.

I’ve read one of Bill’s responses about this but it wasn’t completely understandable to me.

  1. If I have a purchase & sales aggreement in my name and no where on it does it say I can’t assign it. So, at what point do I tell the closing agent I want to close it in the name of the land trust? Is it right when we are in the office ready to fill out all the paperwork? And I assume I have the trustee right their too to fill out the land trust? But how about if my trustee is in another state?

  2. And if I am using a mortgage/hard money does the trustee sign it even though my name will be everywhere on the document? Do I just cross out my name and put the name of the trust and trustee name?
