Buying land in Texas - Posted by John

I did answer an add in the paper today, says: 10 Acres Texas Rancho Land build or hunt. Owner W/ finance $ 7,000.00
W/$300.00 down & $125 monthly.
I never did buy land before, never been in Texas.
Any body could tell how to approach this deal, check value of the land, or what to look for, how do I check title of it,it sounds like a good afordable long term investment.
Land buyers and experienced investors please educate me on this.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation
John. Florida

Be very careful with these “ranchettes”. Many companies subdividing arid desert land and selling sight unseen at cheap prices. Check it all out carefully before making any commitment.

We have land from $250/acre to $10,000,000/acre.
It depends on the location.
It might be fun to say you own it, but I doubt that it is a very good investment.
Maybe it is time for you to come visit our State.
Good luck.
