buying a house with lots of cat feces - Posted by Brian_Wa

I’m buying a house where the previous owner left a lot of cat feces inside the house. The feces had all dried up. I didn’t know how dangerous it is until my inspector told me that such feces can emit lethal viruses and can be extremely dangerous for human. He told me to get them removed by the proper company. Has anyone dealt with such a problem before? Any idea how I can get this resolved?

Cat faces can contain toxoplasmosis which is a fairly common parasitic disease that generally causes mild, flu-like symptoms in otherwise healthy adults. The danger is that if a pregnant woman contracts the disease, the fetus can be severely damaged, and people with weakened immune systems (like those with HIV) can become very ill. It’s also thought to be a possible trigger for schizophrenia.
That being said, if you’re healthy, not pregnant, and schizophrenia doesn’t run in your family, put on some rubber gloves and clean it up.

Just clean it up. Wash it up. Then use ODORXIT.
