Home inspector’s only obligation is to report to the person/co. hiring him/her, and report honestly on what was found.

It’s NOT his business to be “telling” anybody to call a contractor, etc., nor is it business to see that one is called or that repairs are made.

The buyer and seller can contract as they choose to ignore, repair, etc, and at who’s cost.

Does a home inspector have to tell the potential buyer to call a contractor? Or if fault is found with items within the property and noted, is it the home buyer who is responcable for taking action?
