I like Provident. They have a “free business checking” which is truly FREE provided you don’t do over 40 transactions a month. You get a free debit card. You can also get online banking, but that is not free. On balance I have been happy with them.

I am having problems with my current bank in Maryland. They just can’t get it together. Does anyone have any recommendations for business banking for small businesses? I have a corporation. Has anyone tried Allfirst? Their packages seem attractive and they are set online to view statements through Quicken. Anyone have any experiences to share with them? If anyone has any recommendations on a good “small business” friendly bank in Maryland, please let me know. I’m looking for a bank with online access, issues debit cards, and has good customer service. If I don’t find a good one, I’m thinking about going to Bank of America. Thanks!
