Maybe Buffet should give his secretary a pay raise if she is so bad off.

Inflation is a tax.

Employees always get bent over, but they don’t take the risk either.

Raise the capital gains tax and see what happens.

What the article forgets to highlight is that Mr. Buffett’s income is long term capital gains taxed at 15% and earned income, like wages and salaries are taxed at 28% for many people.

Until capital gains taxes are indexed for inflation, it will largely be a tax on inflation. Even in today’s recession, as in the Great Depression, there was some inflation though small.
