Thanks JGinFL,
I haven’t even begun to make my first deals in RE just because I want to get the research and knowledge first before I dive into disaster, but this should be more than helpful. Thanks again, and may I ask why you would move from the wonderful state of NC? Good luck to you as well…

Hello all, first off let me start by saying that since being interested in getting into RE I have totally committed my time to research and reading constantly. I was part of the optimizations of one of the large corporations in Raleigh and am now venturing into what I feel can be a very prosperous future for myself and my partner whom is also researching and studying for the same reasons we read on the posts here. Just want to say Kudos to all of you for your great information and insight into the RE world. I guess I really have one question that pertains to starting out. Reading this information has generally directed me into the L/O arena or Sub2 groups of RE, just for the security of not having much cash up front and really not wanting to dive right into the rentals just yet, too much hassle for the avid startup I do believe. I did want to see if anyone from the RTP area was posting on the board and if so would they mind contacting me and informing me of local orgs that are around that meet on subject matter. I can see a great future ahead for us all, and thanks again for all your posts, INSPIRING FOR THE ASPIRING…

Charles:
I used to live in Cary, NC a few years back ('98). At the time, a new RE Investors group was being started. It was called Triangle Real Estate Investors Group. They met the 3rd Tuesday of every month at 6:30pm at the Homewood Suites in Cary. (behind McGregor Village on Rt 64) I have no idea if the group still exists. It was started by a woman named Laura Newman. I have a number of 800-959-0155 or 919-938-0155 for her.
Can’t believe I still have some of the flyers - hope it proves useful for you.
Good luck!
