I have been investing in the single family properties, but would like to move into commercial real estate investing on a limited basis from next year. Please recommend me some good books that will help me understand ins and outs of apt. building investing. There are lots of books out there, which ones are good in your opinion?
I am hoping to avoid spending tons of money buying courses from the gurus! I appreciate your help.

The Real Estate Recipe: Make Millions by Buying Small Apartment Properties in Your Spare Time by Brian Friedman. I met the guy and he was a wealth of knowledge and it got me started successfully.

Most of the books on Amazon repeat the same info, including all the
books by Lindahl. I consider those books to be “intros”. My best
advice is
to cough up the dough for Ray Alcorns book, its very complete and
detailed.

The book by Monica that was recommeded is a good place to start. I just finished Dave Lindahl’s Multi-Family Millions and wasnt overly impressed, but at this point I have read a lot of books and there is so much repetitive info out there.
Pick up Confessions of Real Estate Entrepenuer by James Randel. Not really on apartments but it is a good read to get your mind-set on looking for opportunities to add-value. That is applicable to all forms of RE Investing.
I also enjoyed Make Money with Small Income Properties by Gary Eldred.
Good Luck to You

Can you share specific good tips on apt investment? I have read a few books. And also share your success with us. My thinking is to investment in 20 units or more class B or C out of CA in midwest, south east, in metro areas.
