Hi All: 14 months ago, I bought this 20 unit place. 5 are brick structures with old pipes and apparently lead paint traces. $ 350 rent includes all utilities. This tenant was behind on the rent when he called Code Enforcement. He somehow obtained something “official” in writing stating that he does not have to pay rent or face eviction until the problem is fixed. // If word gets around, this will put me out of business. So - how are you pros dealing with such a situation? I feel blackmailed. This one unit can be taken care of, but not all 20 at the same time. There are no kids in any unit… PLEASE SHARE GOOD ADVICE!
