He paid in the upper 50’s for a “last of the model year” unit. It had a goofy floorplan I thought.
He does not even know what I do, but his wife asked him(at my suggestion) about repos and he said he “didn’t want any of this repo crap”. So, I never said a word. He is just that way. He is so proud of the one he bought I thought he would pop.
I do not know what the host dealer charges for anything. I am about to find out in the next few weeks as I bid on some models out in the field, and on their lot.
You should get a personal email from me and I could really use some info/advice.
Bidding on Repo’s at host dealers - Posted by Philip

Will Greentree always let the host dealer win, even if he does not bid? I mean, are they just the winner no matter what?
If I place a 25 cent on the dollar bid and the host dealer is used to getting everything for 15 on the dollar, will Greentree still ignore me, so as not to offend their dealer?

Contact Greentree directly … they have many repos that are not on dealer’s lots. Website www.49erRealEstate.com has the phone numbers for Greentree repos for most states.

meaning if you bid 17k they can match and get the home. what really kills them is to pick 4 or 5 of there nicest puffs and bid high on them…they have to match and it KILLS them to pay true wholesale prices…they are used to stealing home. ever notice how there are Never any appliances or A/C’s in units on their lot??
