Best Insurance Company? Foremost? - Posted by Jack_WA
Posted by Jack_WA on October 01, 2007 at 17:24:36:
After reading through the archives, just wondering if foremost insurance is still around?
Also, is an appraisal needed for insuring mobiles, or do you decide how much you are insured for?
Anyone ever had any bad dealings with insurance companies not wanting to pay fully insured amount, etc?

Jack,
I use Foremost for three properties that I own. They have been easy to deal with. I added another property last week and simply told my agend how much I was purchasing the property for and how much coverage was needed and that’s it. I received $20K of coverage for an annual premium of $264. Its not cheap but it helps me sleep at night because I know if something happens, my investment will be secure. I haven’t had to file a claim yet so I can’t speak to that. Maybe in a couple years, I’ll be able to self insure but until then Foremost will be ok.
Hope all your investments are profitable.

Tim, You should try farm bureau. I got a Quote for $65K land home last week and foremost came in at some over 1200 and farm bureau came in at a little over 550.

I second the Farm Bureau thing. They’re very competitive and they don’t have a problem insuring mobiles - with or without land. They do auto, life, SFR investment properties, comm’l properties. I really like my agent, and he’s knows a lot of people who can help my business. A good agent is an excellent resource.

I use Formost but I think they are high. Farm Bureau won’t cover my mobile homes unless I move all of my personal home and cars to their company. Do you all have all of your personal insurance with them?
there ain’t no Farm Bureau in WA - Posted by Steve-WA
