I’m located in Queens NYC and I cannot find any reliable information on the legal ramifications on posting these signs.
I was wondering if they were legal and have anyone ever had problems with the law using them.

Terence:

I live in Queens County NY all my life.

  1. Legal ramification -$50.00 fine per sign.

  2. Donald Trump, Microsoft had been fined for such illegal signage.

  3. Queens County is filled with Community organizations opposed to such signs and they will be reported and taken down in no time. They are currently reported thru the new “311” system, and via the NYC Website.

  4. Politicians used them during election campaigns up to ten or so years ago, till the City even cracked down on them. You’ll don’t find such signs placed during election time anymore.

Under these circumstances, placing such signs will create a very major backlash, besides facing city action and fines.
