Your title policy should cover it. Read the policy and make sure there are no exceptions. Contact the title agency.

Bought a lake lot June 2004. Used an Attorney and got title insurance. Today I got a bill from 2001 that was not paid by the prior owner’s LLC. I called the Tax Commissioner and her verified that the Tax was never paid.
Question: Is the closing attorney we paid libel? or does our title insurance cover this? Or are we stuck with the bill?
