Atty cannot do so in any state I’m aware of, as this practice would basically condone and endorse solicitation of law business, which is a big no-no for any atty.
REA or Broker CAN legally share his commissions with anybody, licensed or otherwise (after he receives it) and this is the law in many states.
I own a quickly building foreclsure business.
I have a stableof (52) active and cash ready investors to purchase my short saled properties.
As of late a great percentage have had to file either 7 or 13 to stall the process. I have been referring all theses clients to 1 specefic attorney with out advising them
ofcourse ( I am not a lawyer).
I wish capture a fee from this indirectly since I am prohibited from directly profiting from and law practice since I am not a lawyer. I have sent this lawyer 30-40 deals over the past 60 days and see no end in site…
Any help is appreciated…

Referring a client to an attorney is not practicing law so you can receive a fee directly. The question is whether an attorney can pay a referral fee to a non attorney. I know that realtors can not make payments to non-realtors.
